Created by two artists, this large garden combines ornamental & productive plants, with a nod to permaculture. Winding paths lead to ponds, woodlands and a jungle themed polytunnel, lots of flowers and unusual fruit and vegetables. Added to this is sculpture and furniture created by the owners

A mature garden with plenty to explore for the whole family.

On the R361 Boyle to Frenchpark road.   R before school. After approx 2km keep R on big bend, take 2nd lane on R. Entrance just after first cottage.

This cottage & gravel garden is pollinator & wildlife friendly. A meandering stream running behind the garden lends the soothing sound of flowing water which complements the rustic and cosy aesthetic of this peaceful retreat.

In Ballintogher take L at shop. After 150 meters take left at the sign for St. Mary’s church. Continue straight for 3.5km .Take L4264 to 5 crossroads. Take the second right. Blackthorn cottage is third house on right.

This garden was designed around a farmhouse built in 1923. It has been allowed to grow organically with self- seeded trees, wild plants and flowers. The house is now covered with wisteria and other climbing plants. There is a stream and pond with goldfish and water lilies. The garden also features raised beds, patios, a lean-to greenhouse and a banana tree.

Towards, N16 from centre of Sligo, at R286 junction with Ashlane ( traffic lights) take directions for Dromahair. After 500m turn left towards Calry. Continue approx. 1.5 km . 

The house with green wooden gate is on the left before Calry church.  Enter the garden by iron gate under laurel.
